Introduction to Older Piece of Writing

I chose to use my high school senior year pageant essay to show my lack of writing a good essay, and to compare it to the essays that I have done this term in my English class. My intended audience was three to four unknown judges. There were no special requirements you just had to write about something that has been happening in the world whether it was local or from somewhere else. As I wrote this essay I asked myself a lot, would I have anyone who would disagree with me. Although I was at a lack of information when I started this essay, I found that many black men are likely to get arrested as well as have a higher sentence over other race. To find this information I was a little over whelmed only because I had never been told or shown the statics for this information. I felt that I was at a weakness with this piece of work because I only had three days time and I was unable to fully research and provide more information. Though I felt that my strengths came from me being able to relate to this information. I feel that if I am able to relate to what I am writing then I will be able to make a better piece of writing. after I finished writing my paper I had question such as what other charges black men receive higher sentences for and so I did a little more research just for my own knowledge. I would to say that my understanding of the term ” voice in writing”  was the same as before, I needed to put my personal feelings into this writing.
