Do you believe it is fair for a person that is caught with drugs gets more years then a man who commits murder or rape. Can you believe that a convicted felon cannot get a job despite wht the felon was for or when it happen today. In society you have to deal with a man that sell drugs getting more years then the men who hurt others. A man who commits rape only gets 3 years minimum and a man who commits murder only gets 10 years minimum so how many years do you think a man charged with drug trafficking will have to serve ?
These things are all bad but why should one have to suffer more than others about 2 years ago my brother was arrested for drug trafficking and he was charged with a minimum of 8 years for each sentence. His sentence is only 3 years and 11 months. His sentence was low because he had already had time served. That is not even the minimum for a man with drug charges. a man accused of rape will start with a minimum of 3 years and the maximum differs based on the aggravating factors. The same applies to a man with murder charges. He will at minimum serve 10 years but taking into consideration the aggravation and degree factors he can subject to serve more years. Yes you can say that a man who sells drugs can be connected to other cases as well as taking into account how many times he has been arrested so he deserves his time. Then I ask you why would you give a man selling drugs more time than a man that could hurt you or your family. Drugs do hurt people yes that’s given but what’s worse lose of life from another human being a lose of life to something that you could have gave up with the help of the government . I speak on how it feels to have someone taken from you and given years that someone else with harsher crime do not have to serve.
So again I ask you do you feel it is fair for a man charged with rape or murder to have a lesser sentence then a man charged with drug paraphernalia or drug trafficking? I know you may have been wondering a man charged with drug trafficking or drug paraphernalia starts his sentence with a minimum of 11 to 12 years and depending on the status that comes with his charges he will serve more time. It has not been said that a man with drug paraphernalia or drug trafficking charges has served life in prison but I’m sure if the government and courts continue to charge men this way it will be set to happen.
